Cookie Policy
A plain-English explanation of the small number of cookies and similar technologies used on this website — and, just as importantly, what is not used.
Last updated: 16 July 2026
The short version
SandeepJaryal.com uses only cookies and similar technologies that are strictly necessary to serve the website and to complete a payment when you choose to buy a book.
There are no advertising cookies, no analytics cookies, no behavioural profiling, no cross-site tracking and no social-media tracking pixels on this website.
Because only strictly necessary technologies are used, a cookie consent banner is not required under the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR). This page exists so you can see exactly what is used, and why.
What we mean by cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small text files a website may place on your device. “Similar technologies” covers things like local storage and session storage, which work in a comparable way. Where this policy refers to cookies, it should be read as covering these too.
Website hosting and routing
The website is hosted on Lovable, which serves pages through the Cloudflare edge network. Lovable may set a short-lived cookie named __dpl used to support deployment routing and delivery of the website.
To the best of our knowledge this cookie is set by the hosting platform to help make the website work rather than for analytics, advertising or cross-site tracking. Its exact lifetime, attributes and any additional purposes are managed by the hosting platform and may change over time.
If we ever discover that a hosting-layer cookie performs any function that is not strictly necessary, we will reclassify it here and, if consent is required, ask for it before it is set.
Payments and fraud prevention
Nothing from our payment provider is loaded on the website until you actively begin checkout — that is, until you select a book on the Buy page and open the checkout form.
At that point, Stripe's Embedded Checkout is loaded so it can take your payment securely. Stripe and the payment methods it supports (for example Apple Pay, Google Pay or Link) may then set their own strictly necessary cookies and storage to process the transaction and to prevent fraud.
Payment and fraud-prevention technologies are treated as strictly necessary under PECR because they are required to provide the service you have explicitly requested. If you do not begin checkout, none of them are loaded.
YouTube and other embedded content
This website does not embed any YouTube players. References to videos are ordinary outbound links: nothing loads from YouTube until you follow one of those links, at which point you leave the website.
Analytics, advertising and social media
None. There is no Google Analytics, no advertising pixel, no LinkedIn Insight Tag, no Meta Pixel and no equivalent tracker of any kind on this website. Fonts are served from this website's own origin — nothing is requested from Google Fonts.
Inventory of technologies used
The table below lists the technologies that may be present at any point. Provider-managed fraud-prevention cookie names (for example those used by Stripe or a wallet provider) can change from time to time; this list is not intended as a permanently exhaustive catalogue of every internal cookie name a payment provider may set at the moment of checkout.
| Technology | Provider | Purpose | Category | Activation | Duration | Consent |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| __dpl | Lovable / Cloudflare (hosting) | Supports deployment routing and delivery of the website. | Strictly necessary | May be set on page load by the hosting platform | Short-lived (managed by the hosting platform) | Not required |
| Stripe Checkout cookies and storage | Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. | Loads and secures the Embedded Checkout form and processes payment. | Strictly necessary (payment) | Only after you begin checkout on /buy | Session and up to a few months for fraud prevention | Not required |
| Wallet / fraud-prevention cookies | Stripe and its payment-method partners (e.g. Apple Pay, Google Pay, Link) | Enables the wallet you choose and helps prevent fraudulent payments. | Strictly necessary (payment) | Only after you begin checkout on /buy | Varies by provider | Not required |
Controlling cookies in your browser
You can view, block or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time. Because every technology used on this website is strictly necessary, blocking cookies may prevent parts of the site from working — most obviously, checkout may not complete if Stripe's cookies are blocked.
Guidance from your browser vendor is the most reliable source for how to do this in the browser you use.
Changes to this policy
If new technologies are introduced — for example if analytics or any optional service were ever added — this page will be updated first and, where consent is required, a consent mechanism will be added before those technologies are loaded.
The “last updated” date at the top of the page always shows when this policy was most recently revised.
